Recreation Centres & Indoor Pools

RECREATION SERVICE IMPACTS: 
Bennetto Community Centre: All programming will resume at Bennetto Community Centre on Thursday February 5, 2026 at 9:30 am. In appreciation to the members of the community and residents who demonstrated patience and understanding during the emergency Warming Centre’s operations, all drop-in programming will be free admission at Bennetto Community Centre on Thursday February 5 until Saturday February 7, 2026.

PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:
Hill Park Recreation Centre: Waterfit - 9:15 to 10 am, Open Swim & Lengths Swim - 10:15 to 12:45 pm are cancelled on February 18, 2026

CLOSURES
Norman Pinky Lewis Recreation Centre: The warm pool is closed January 5, 2026. Re-opening T.B.A.
Dalewood Recreation Center: Accessibility Chair Lift is out-of-order until further notice as of January 23, 2026. 

MAINTENANCE CLOSURES
Jimmy Thompson Pool: Closed for annual facility maintenance from January 19, 2026 to February 15, 2026 (reopening on February 17, 2026, after Family Day). Registered swim lessons will be relocated to either Sir Winston Churchill Recreation Centre or Norman Pinky Lewis Recreation Centre. 
Huntington Park Recreation Centre: Facility closure from March 17, 2025 to Spring 2026 to replace pool waterslide and complete lifecycle renewal upgrades and enhancements.
