A Stronger Hamilton Is Taking Shape
Building Hamilton's Future, Today
Three priorities. One stronger Hamilton.
Over the past four years, three priorities have guided the City's work. Each reflects important needs in Hamilton and the services, investments and partnerships that help address them.
Explore each priority to discover the results, projects and stories behind the work, why it matters to residents and where the City is continuing to focus its efforts.
Hamilton in numbers
These results highlight progress across the City's three priorities, from supporting housing stability and local economic development to improving City services.
What this progress looks like in everyday life
Behind the numbers are projects, services and investments that help shape how people experience Hamilton. These stories show how the City's work is making a difference today while helping prepare for the future.
Tomorrow’s shade starts with today’s trees
Trees help make neighbourhoods more comfortable, provide shade and support healthier natural spaces. The City planted more than 55,000 trees in 2024 and more than 50,000 in 2025, exceeding its annual planting targets. As these trees grow, they can help cool neighbourhoods and make outdoor spaces more comfortable for future generations.

Your winter journey starts on the sidewalk
Getting to a bus stop, school or appointment can be harder when sidewalks are covered in snow. The City expanded winter sidewalk snow-clearing coverage from 397 kilometres to more than 866 kilometres, with a focus on transit routes and stops. This helps more people navigate their neighbourhoods and connect with the places they need to go.
