Battlefield House Museum & Park Celebrates Fall Harvest with Annual Apple Festival on September 24
HAMILTON, ON - September 22, 2016 - Battlefield House Museum & Park, National Historic Site invites the public to celebrate the fall season at its annual Apple Festival on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Enjoy apple treats and mark the harvest with wagon rides, music, games, children’s crafts, hands-on demonstrations, re-enactors, and pumpkin decorating, and a pancake breakfast hosted by the Stoney Creek Lions Club (9 to 11:30 am) Hot dogs, corn on the cob, apple pie and other goodies will be sold from 11:30 am onward at the concession stand.
Chefs of all ages are also invited to enter the annual Battlefield Apple Pie Bake-off. Pie entries will be accepted at the gift shop located in the Nash Jackson House until 11 a.m. on September 24, 2016. Local celebrity judges will announce the best pie at 2:00 p.m.
Admission to the Park is free. A small charge will apply to wagon rides and other activities. Regular admission rates apply to tour Battlefield House Museum.

The Georgian-style homestead is the site where, in 1813, the Gage family was held in the cellar as the Battle of Stoney Creek raged outside.
