Crews working along Claremont access over coming weeks
HAMILTON, ON – Starting tomorrow, the City of Hamilton will be completing preventative maintenance along the Claremont escarpment access. While no lane closures are planned, the work may require intermittent lane closures for the safety of motorists traveling along the roadway.
The work will begin tomorrow, May 17, 2018, and will take approximately three weeks to complete. Workers will be on site daily between 7 am and 7 pm.
Work along the Claremont includes rock scaling, which is the removal of loose rock and debris to prevent future rock slides.
Motorists should be aware of the possibility for lane closures, obey any flagmen or signs in the area, and potentially plan other routes as necessary.
The City of Hamilton thanks residents for their patience as we complete this important preventative maintenance work.
