Queen Street South Construction Update: Closure on Queen St S between Charlton Ave W and Herkimer St beginning tomorrow
HAMILTON, ON - As part of the Queen St S two-way conversion project, the City will close Queen St S between Charlton Ave W and the west leg of Herkimer St beginning tomorrow, August 5 to safely complete traffic signal installations.
Herkimer St between Locke St S and Queen St S will also be closed for the duration of the project.
The closure is expected to wrap up on or before Friday, September 11, 2020, weather permitting.
As of tomorrow, the section of Queen St S between Main St W and Charlton Ave W will be converted to two-way traffic operation.
Local access to residents will be provided on Queen St S between Charlton Ave W and Herkimer St. Local access will also be maintained on Herkimer St between Locke St S and Queen St S.
Motorists should follow signs for detour or take alternative routes. HSR customers travelling westbound on Route #6 Aberdeen and southbound on Route #34 UPPER PARADISE should be aware of HSR impacts.
