RBC to Support the City of Hamilton’s Aquatics Programs
HAMILTON, ON – September 13, 2016 – The City of Hamilton is pleased to announce the upcoming Family Water Sports program presented by Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). This program, as well as the support of other City programs and special events, is part of the ongoing strategic partnership with RBC.
"This commitment from RBC underpins the spirit of public/private partnerships and serves as an ideal case study for community engagement from the business sector," said Mayor Fred Eisenberger. "It acknowledges the crucial role that sport and active, healthy living plays in sustained quality of life in Hamilton."
The Family Water Sports program presented by RBC will take place at several facilities across the city beginning September 19, 2016. This free 10-week program allows families to try out different aquatic sports.
Each week, lifeguards will teach one of the following water sports:
- Water volleyball
- Synchronized swimming
- Water polo
- Swim racing
