Study Commencement & PIC for McQuesten Park Active Transportation Pedestrian Bridge EA
The City of Hamilton is completing a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for a new pedestrian bridge to facilitate enhanced active transportation (AT) movement across the Lincoln Alexander Parkway (LINC). The EA will examine the safety of both travel on the LINC and users of the bridge and determine the optimum positioning and type of bridge structure required.
The Process
This Study is being carried out as a Schedule ‘B’ project under the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (February 2024). Near the end of the project, a Project File Report (PFR) will be prepared to document the EA process, consultation activities, and the evaluation. The PFR will be available for a 30-day public review at that time.
How to Participate
The City is hosting a Public Information Centre (PIC) for this study. The purpose of this PIC is to gather input and feedback from the local community with regards to the alternative solutions examined and the associated evaluation process
