The City has begun using a new agenda management software system

As we work through the next few weeks, we will be addressing frequently asked questions below. If you have any questions regarding eSCRIBE, please email escribequestions@hamilton.ca and Clerk’s will respond to your questions as soon as possible.

How can I refresh my screen once the meeting begins?
When you are waiting for a meeting to begin, you will need to continue to refresh your screen by pressing “F5” until the meeting begins.

Can I view a video after the meeting is finished?
Yes. Beginning January 15, 2018, published videos of a Committee meeting can be viewed below in the Past Meetings section. First, click on the Committee Type from the list.

From a desktop computer either:

  • Select the date of the meeting you wish to view.
  • Click on the Video icon button.
  • Click on the View button and select Video from the dropdown list of options.

From a mobile device either:

  • Select the date of the meeting you wish to view. Click on the top right 'hamburger menu', select Agenda and click on Video from the drop down menu.
  • Click on the Video icon button.
  • Click on the View button and select Video from the dropdown list of options.

Can I move to a specific agenda item in the video?
Yes. When the agenda is open and a specific item is selected, the video will begin at the selected item. This functionality is not available when viewing on mobile devices.

Standing and Council Committees

The City makes a video record of the Standing Committee and Council meetings. If you make a presentation to a Committee, the City will be video recording you and will make the recording public by publishing the recording on the City's website.
