The City of Hamilton is now accepting applications for the positions of Election Assistants and Greeters to work at voting locations on Monday October 26, 2026.

We are hiring for these roles:

Election Assistants

First point of contact for voters once inside the poll.
Alerts the Managing Deputy Returning Officer (MDRO) to the arrival of any candidates or scrutineers.
Assists in the setting up and closing of the voting location.
Daily Rate of Pay: $215

Greeters

The first point of contact for voters at the voting location.
Welcomes voters and ensures they have ID.
Assists voters in navigating the voting location and directing them to the appropriate election official.
Welcoming attitude that helps keep things running smoothly and ensures everyone is treated with respect.
Daily Rate of Pay: $200
