Community Debrief to reveal Point-in-Time Count survey results
HAMILTON, ON – March 2, 2016 – On Friday March 4, City staff will present Hamilton’s 20,000 Homes Point-in-Time Count survey results to the general public.
What: The national 20,000 Homes Point-In-Time Count took place on February 21-22, 2016 to measure homelessness in the Hamilton community. The intent of the Point-In-Time Count is to count the number of people experiencing homelessness, assess people’s health and social needs, and identify specific supports to help them find and maintain permanent homes. Communities across Canada are working together towards the goal of housing 20,000 people who are experiencing persistent homelessness by July 1, 2018. The results taken from the survey will be shared with the public.
