The City of Hamilton initiated a Subwatershed and Class EA study for the Mid-Spencer Creek and Greensville Rural Settlement Area. Residents in the Greensville RSA and the subwatershed are currently serviced by private septic systems and groundwater-sourced municipal communal, private communal or individual wells.

The City of Hamilton is undertaking the Lower Chedoke Creek Master Plan and Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate various water quality improvement alternatives as they relate to the ecology of the area, including Cootes Paradise and the western Hamilton Harbour.

The community of Carlisle has historically experienced high water demands during the summer, which often strained water availability in the municipal drinking water system. Since 2002, when the drinking water system was first unable to meet peak demands, the City has explored several solutions to meet Carlisle’s water demands
