Respiratory Vaccines
For high-risk and priority groups, COVID-19 vaccines will be available the week of September 22 and flu vaccines will be available the week of October 14 at pharmacies and healthcare providers. These vaccines will be available to the general public on October 27.
RSV vaccines for older adults are currently available. The infant and high-risk children RSV prevention program will begin on October 1.
If you are eligible for COVID-19, influenza, and/or RSV vaccines, contact your healthcare provider. Many pharmacies are also offering COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, please contact your local pharmacy for availability.
If you are 6 months and older, you can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as the flu vaccine, RSV, and other routine immunizations
Booking an Appointment
To book an appointment, you may:
- Contact your family doctor or healthcare provider.
- Book with your local pharmacy
- Many pharmacies that offer vaccines can provide both the flu vaccine (for ages 2 and older) and COVID-19 vaccine (for ages 6 months and older).
- Some pharmacies are able to offer in-home vaccinations if you are homebound.
If you do not have a health card and you live, work, and/or attend school in Hamilton, or you are unable to access COVID-19 and/or RSV vaccines from your healthcare provider or local pharmacy, you may book online for an appointment at a Hamilton Public Health Services clinic.
When you attend your appointment to receive a COVID-19 and/or RSV vaccine, you will be offered the flu vaccine.
