The City has initiated the Municipal Class EA process to construct the twinning trunk watermain for more reliable water services in Waterdown community.

In 2006, the City completed the Water and Wastewater Master Plan Class EA for lake based systems. This study recommended a Schedule 'B' project be implemented for the York & Valley Road (HD016) Booster Water Pumping Station which included station upgrades to increase the pumping capacity to meet growth demands. Due to the lapse of timed, a Class EA Addendum will be completed.

The property owners within the Block 1 Servicing Strategy area (bounded by Highway No.8, Fruitland Road, Barton Street and just east of Jones Road) have initiated the Block 1 Servicing Strategy and a Municipal Class EA process (Phase 3 and Phase 4 only) for Gordon Dean Avenue that will extend between Barton Street and Highway No.8 within the Block 1 Area.

The City of Hamilton has initiated a Subwatershed Study for the Elfrida Study Area. The purpose of the Subwatershed Study is to develop a plan that allows sustainable development, while ensuring maximum benefits to the natural and human environments on a watershed basis.

The City of Hamilton has initiated a Municipal Class EA for a backup system for the Greensville Municipal Well.

The City of Hamilton initiated a Subwatershed and Class EA study for the Mid-Spencer Creek and Greensville Rural Settlement Area. Residents in the Greensville RSA and the subwatershed are currently serviced by private septic systems and groundwater-sourced municipal communal, private communal or individual wells.
