To the Pipeline Trail Public Art Celebration
A Shared Trail by Brandon Vickerd
Join us on the historic Pipeline Trail at a public event to celebrate Hamilton’s newest work of Public Art: A Shared Trail by Brandon Vickerd.
This functional and playful artwork responds to the industrial heritage and natural beauty of the trail and provides multiple new seating options for trail users to rest and engage with each other. Visitors will discover detailed bronze forms of a wild turkey, a whitetail deer, and a coyote - all of which are native to Hamilton’s east end - perched atop corten steel benches intended to mimic the industrial material that forms the water pipeline running below the trail corridor.
The Celebration will include remarks from City of Hamilton representatives and will feature a Q & A with the artist.
