Due to construction on University Avenue, 1A King and 5A Delaware buses will be detouring from 7 am on Tuesday, April 29, until approximately 6 am on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Detour Details:

Route 1A - King & 5A Delaware

Westbound

• From Sterling Street and Forsyth Avenue - Left on Forsyth Avenue, continue on University Avenue and resume regular routing on Emerson Street south of Main Street.

Eastbound

• From University Avenue and Forsyth Avenue - Continue east on Forsyth Avenue, Right on Sterling Street and continue regular routing on Sterling Street, east of Forsyth Avenue.

Routes 2 Barton, 3 Cannon, 4 Bayfront and 20 A Line will be on detour on the second Friday of each month from 5 pm to 11 pm. This is due to a road closure on James Street; York Boulevard/Wilson Street to Murray Street for Art Crawl. Detour details, including a list of closed stops, temporary stops, and a detour map, can be found below.

Detour Details:

Route 2 Barton - Westbound

• Buses will detour from Barton at John, turning left on John Street, right on Rebecca Street, and left on James Street to resume the regular route south of Rebecca.

Route 3 Cannon - Westbound

• Buses will detour from Cannon at John, turning left on John Street, right on Rebecca Street, and left on James Street to resume the regular route south of Rebecca.

Route 4 Bayfront

• Eastbound buses will continue north on MacNab Street from Murray Street, then turn right on Strachan Street and left on James Street to resume the regular route north of Strachan.
• Westbound buses will detour from James at Strachan, turning left on Strachan Street, right on John Street, right on Rebecca Street, and left on James Street to resume the regular route south of Rebecca.

Route 20 A-Line

• Northbound buses will detour from James at Main, turning right on Main Street, left on John Street, left on Strachan Street, and right on James Street to resume the regular route north of Strachan.
• Southbound buses will detour from James at Strachan, turning left on Strachan Street, right on John Street, right on Rebecca Street, and left on James Street to resume the regular route south of Rebecca.

There will be a road closure on Wilson Street from Wentworth Street to Sanford Avenue for construction. Detour effective Monday, March 17 at 9 am until approximately 6 pm on Friday, June 27.

EASTBOUND (to Reid & Dunsmure)

• From Wilson Street and Wentworth Street
• Right on Wentworth Street
• Left on Main Street
• Left on Sanford Avenue
• Right on Wilson Street
• resume regular eastbound routing on Wilson Street east of Sanford Avenue

WESTBOUND (to Downtown)

• No detour

There will be a road closure on Hunter Street – James Street to MacNab Street for sewer valve replacement from Tuesday, April 22 at approx. 11 p.m. – Wednesday, April 23 at approx. 7 p.m. As a result, Routes 4 Bayfront, 7 Locke, 8 York and 34 Upper Paradise outbound will be on detour. Routes 4 Bayfront and 8 York (outbound from downtown):

• From James Street and Hunter Street, buses will continue south on James Street, turn right on Bold Street, then right on Bay Street, and resume regular routing on Bay Street north of Hunter Street.

Routes 7 Locke and 34 Upper Paradise (outbound from downtown):

• From James Street and Hunter Street, buses will continue south on James Street, turn right on Bold Street, then right on Bay Street, followed by a left on Hunter Street. Buses will resume regular routing on Hunter Street west of Bay Street.

Route 4 Bayfront Eastbound will detour due to the road closure on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 7 pm to 8 pm on MacNab St. from Cannon St. to Colbourne St. for Lady of Fatima Parade. Detour details, closed stops and a detour map, can be found below.

• Eastbound – from York Blvd. at MacNab St., continue east on York Blvd., left on James St., and resume regular routing on James St. north of Murray St.

There will be a road closure on Wentworth St. just North of Stinson Street for construction on Tuesday, April 29, from approximately 9 am to 3 pm. As a result, Routes 5 Delaware & 12 Wentworth will be on detour. 

Detour Details:

Route 5 Delaware buses will detour as follows:

• EASTBOUND FROM DOWNTOWN - From Stinson Street and Wentworth Street, Right on Wentworth Street, Left on Cumberland Avenue, Left on Sanford Avenue, Right on Delaware Avenue and resume regular eastbound routing on Delaware Avenue east of Sanford Avenue.
• WESTBOUND TO DOWNTOWN – From Delaware Avenue and Sanford Avenue, Left on Sanford Avenue, Right on Rutherford Avenue, Right on Wentworth Street, Left on Stinson Street and resume regular westbound routing on Stinson Street west of Wentworth Street.

Route 12 Wentworth buses will detour as follows:

• SOUTHBOUND TO VICTORIA AVENUE (End-of-Line) – From Delaware Avenue and Wentworth Street, Left on Delaware Avenue, Right on Sanford Avenue, Right on Rutherford Avenue, Right on Wentworth Street, Left on Stinson Street and resume regular southbound routing on Stinson Street west of Wentworth Street.
• NORTHBOUND TO WENTWORTH STREET AND MARS AVENUE (End-of-Line) – No detour required.
